Yesterday I wrote about drinking water, the importance of it, and how it helps me maintain and lose weight.
Today, I want to expand a bit by giving you some flavored water ideas.
Now personally, I love just plain water, but I hear all the time that people hate water! The hubs and my dad are included in that group! And you know, sometimes I get bored and want to change it up. So what I do is add fruit and/or fresh herbs to my water for some extra flavor and possibly some nutrients from the fruit? Not sure how much you get, but can’t hurt right?
Here’s some of my favorite ideas! I would love to expand on this list if you have any ideas!
Flavored or Infused Water
Fresh or Frozen Fruit works great. Fresh herbs are necessary! Unless otherwise noted.
- Pineapple (My personal fave! I lived in Hawaii and all the fancy hotels would have dispensers of water with pineapple in the lobby!)
- Cucumber and Lemon
- Green Apple and Mint
- Lavender and Mango. (I was walking the pups in a park and picked some wild lavender. You can also use dried lavender for this one!)
- Lime and Ginger
- Ginger Mango
- Grapefruit, Ginger and Mint.
