New Year’s Resolutions- Well Sorta

Oh Lord.  I realize that title is probably not the best.  New Years resolutions for the most part, well suck.  I mean really.  They sound so great, you know, in theory.  But in practice, why can’t we make them work?

For one, I think the goals are always too lofty.  Stop drinking or cursing.  Ha!  Or lose 50 pounds.  Go to the gym 5 days a week?  Usualyl people who make these type of resolutions are total couch potatoes, so switching from that to a gym rat, probably not gonna happen.  I mean, the good thing is, you’re in great company?  Have you seen the gym lately?!  Good God, it’s crazy right now!!

Ok, so here’s my idea for a new years resolution for this year.

Ummm, can I get a drum roll??

Make monthly resolutions!  Ta da!!

So here’s what I’m thinking, I’m going to make a resolution, for the month on the first of each month.  This month’s resolution?  Ugh, I hate it already, but…

I’m not going to eat out. 

You probably can see my excited face from here.  :-/

Here’s why.  Well for one, the hubs and I eat out waaayyyy too much.  It costs a fortune.  And I’m really bad when I eat out, I think, oh this is a treat, or a special occasion, you know like a Wednesday.  Hump day counts as a special occasion doesn’t it?  No?  Hmmm.  Anyways, I use the excuse of being in a restaurant, to not eat so great.  So I figure, not eating out this month will help pad my wallet, and take off some padding from, well, my rear end :)

Now I would LOVE to hear?  Do you make New Year’s resolutions?  And do you ever keep them? :)
