Day 7 my just be my favorite day of all.  I discovered this recipe last year when my mom’s coworker gave her a bottle as a Christmas gift.  Perhaps that’s when I fell in love with this whole Foodie gift thing.  The ability to give someone a gift, show you appreciate and care about them, but the gifts aren’t so extravagant that the recipient feels awkward if they don’t have anything in return.

Anyways, I drank, well a whole lot of it, then I looked up the recipe and realized it was made with HEAVY CREAM.  Oops!  So in true “me” fashion, I got to work making it healthier.  This recipe is indeed healthier, but you guys, it is by no means healthy.  I didn’t want to lose what made this drink so delicious!  It still should be consumed as a treat in moderation.  So perhaps instead of a Christmas cookie, have a glass of this.  Then instead of dessert after dinner, have a glass of this.  And instead of a latte in the morning, have a glass… well you get the idea!homemade irish cream
